Last weekend, hundreds of visitors attended the 19th edition of the Salto Culture and Culinary Festival, an event open to the public organized by the Quituteiras Association of the district of Santo Antônio do Salto, in Ouro Preto.

The Festival has occupied an important place on the municipality’s agenda for more than 10 years. In this edition, the highlight was female entrepreneurship, whose event is entirely organized by women in the community.

NEC has a strong presence in the region, through the Maynart Complex, a Group enterprise that generates more than 20 direct jobs in the region. In this sense, we are very proud of our presence in such an active and engaged community!

According to Juliana Pena, Environment and Communities Manager at NEC, the Group understands the relevance of the Festival as an important instrument for encouraging the community and local development.

On Sunday, 20/08, several employees and family members were present at the Festival.

Mônica Linhares, supply analyst, reports that the event exceeded expectations. “I had already come to Salto through the Engaje Program and was enchanted by the district. Now, on this second opportunity, I was able to taste dishes that I had never tried before, which by the way were incredible!”, mentions the collaborator.
