We announced that on Wednesday, 05/04, the Group completed the acquisition of power plants SHP Nova Maurício and SHP Glória, which so far had been a part of mining company Vale’s energy portfolio.
The acquisition of the power plants happened through two of the company’s subsidiaries, Tríade Energias Renováveis S.A. and Companhia Energética Rio Preto.
With 29.23MW of capacity installed, Nova Maurício is located in the city of Leopoldina, while SHP Glória has 13.8MW of power and is located in Muriaé, both in the Mata Mineira Region.
With the acquisition, Grupo NEC Energia’s portfolio and its subsidiaries increased to 125MW.
Last year, the energy company had already acquired another one of the mining company’s power plant, SHP Mello, located in Rio Preto/MG, with installed capacity of 9.54MW.
According to Romero Ferreira, president of the group, the current acquisition is aligned with the organization’s strategic planning, which foresees new acquisitions still in 2022.
