Companhia Energética Integrada (CEI), with headquarters in Belo Horizonte/MG, was founded in 2004, with the goal of investing in the segment of energy generation through renewable sources. CEI Energética was 100% responsible for all the expansion that preceded the creation of NEC, in 2021, when the joint venture with Nebras Power occurred. With its work grounded on the highest ethical standards and focused on sustainability and respect towards the environment, CEI is a reference in the energy industry, highlighting its wide work in energy solutions. In 2015, CEI, with the goal of pushing new boundaries in the Brazilian electricity sector, founded ATMO Comercializadora de Energia Elétrica, a company with headquarters in São Paulo. In 2020, CEI expanded its trading desk, starting to operate in the ethanol trading market, through Aither Commodities Trading.

Set up to take advantage of energy investment opportunities created by the growth in demand for electricity and water, Nebras Power is an active player in the evolving power industry, pioneering future energy solutions through its long-term investments.
Nebras entered the Brazilian market at the end of 2019 with the acquisition of a portfolio of four solar projects with a total capacity of 482 MWp and managed to successfully build and commission the projects within 2021 and 2022. Subsequently, successfully expanded its presence in Brazil through the formation of NEC Energia and NEC Desenvolvimento with its partner CEI, while also growing in the gas fired power generation with its Partner Diamante. As Nebras invests in a diverse energy matrix, the company portfolio will make a great contribution to Brazil’s energy security.
