The Group’s first solar plant has entered the implementation phase, that is, the start of work for the construction and installation of structures. UFV Piumhi is being built in the municipality of the same name, located 260km from Belo Horizonte.

The solar plant is being built on a 6-hectare plot of land and, when ready, will have a total installed capacity of 3.3MWp.

At the beginning of July, the vegetation removal and earthworks on the land were completed. From now on, the assembly phase of trackers , modules, inverters and electrical infrastructure begins . The plant is expected to come into operation in December 2023.

The construction of UFV Piumhi is the result of the work of several areas of the company, starting with Developer, responsible for designing the project, and now, in the construction phase, involving the areas of Implementation, Supplies, Engineering, Environment and SSO.

At the end of the implementation, BEI will carry out the O&M of the plant, in addition to the development and implementation of SCADA.
